Programme

Slovenia is one of the few places that allows a traveller the opportunity to experience diverse environments in such a compact area. With our program, From Forrest to Mountain, we will take you on an exploration of Slovenia’s unspoilt forests and Adrenaline Rivers of the Julian Alps.

You will gain experience and skills within the unspoilt forests of the south and have an opportunity to encounter some of Europe’s most significant animals in their natural environment. Leaving the Forrest’s for the Julian Alps, you will be taken on an adrenaline-fuelled adventure across some of the most beautiful scenery the Soča Valley has to offer.

day by day

  • DAY ONE

    WELCOME TO SLOVENIA

Reception at Brnik Airport (SLO) and transfer through the capital to Kočevje, a town in the middle of the forest. Transfers from Triest & Zagreb can also be organized at no extra costs, for other airports, please check ahead.

Upon arrival in Kočevje, there will be a welcome spread of home-made and wild food in the tourist centre. After you have had your fill, we will transport you to the forest and your accommodation in a quirky cottage on the edge of Kočevski Rog.

Sightseeing, and an exciting presentation of local history and culinary socialising with the owner of the cabin.

Presentation of the programme for survival in nature. Equipment inspection with the opportunity to buy things you may have forgotten.

Dinner consisting of local food and drink, informal socialising by the fire.

    Rest for the night.

  • Day two

A full day learning survival skills

    Early rise and abundant breakfast.

Preparation for your stay in the forest: basics of bushcraft, essential tools, moving around and orientation of the terrain, safety guidelines.

Hike to the location where we’ll build a camp from natural materials. During the hike, our guides will educate the team on what plants can be foraged to help sustain you during your time in the forest.

A full day learning survival skills: recognizing plants, animals and materials, gathering and preparation of wild food, manufacturing utensils, tools, weapons and how to start a fire, etc.

When night comes, each member of the team will need to build their bivouac that will be your home for the following nights.

  • Day three

    Second night in the forest

Consolidating the knowledge already gained all the while still learning new ones. There will be a competitive element to help cement your new skills and build a team spirit: tracking and ancient hunting techniques, fire-building techniques, making torches, etc.

The day will include short thematic hikes, and we will close the day observing animals by night. The program consists of necessary survival skills, with emphasis on authentic contact with nature and responding to situations in the environment as they arise.

The experience of living in nature in this way will push each member of the team to their limit and can deepen our connection with our true self, and for that reason, our program of Survival in Nature includes elements of preserving one’s wellbeing.

    Second night in the forest.

  • Day four

    Goodbye to the forest

After two nights in the forest, the difference between this and an everyday, urban way of life will become very obvious.

We will use our exhaustion to learn about efficient use of power. We will tear down the camp and try to conceal the traces of our presence in the forest as much as possible.

The team will then return to Kočevje town in the early morning and have the chance to rest, shower and eat to raise your energy levels.

There are several activities we can organise for your team, such as a beer and wine walk of the capital Ljubljana or you can choose to rest.

In the evening we will provide a three-course meal of traditional Slovenian fare.

The team will sleep in the local guesthouse.

  • Day five

    Bovec and Soča valley

After breakfast, we will transport you to the town of Bovec in the Slovenian Alps. Bovec has become the unofficial adrenaline capital of Slovenia where you can launch yourself into white water rafting, canyoning, zip lining and much more. We can organise specific activities to suit your team.

Once you arrive in Bovec, we will get you settled into your hotel and then take you on the first activity of your choice.

In the evening, you will be free to explore the town’s nightlife and dine in one of the many restaurants.

  • Day six

    Action-packed day

After breakfast, our guides will take you again into the mountains to enjoy an action-packed morning in the Soča Valley.

Our team will bring you back to Bovec to enjoy a lunch of your choice before we take you back to the adrenaline river for another adventure.

Your evening will be free again to enjoy as you wish.
